Udemy - Digital Asset Management Integration
Business need
At Udemy, digital assets were managed using Box.net and Google Drive. These products are not Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems and have very limited DAM capabilities. They were not seamlessly integrated into the marketing tools, causing unnecessary and repetitive work, such as downloading DAM files from Box.net to the marketing tools.

Understanding and aligning on the problem
After months of evaluating multiple DAM software vendors, we selected one. However, the software alone will not solve the productivity problems. We needed to clearly understand specific pain points and address them. This included identifying the pain points and ensuring a collective understanding of them. I led the effort to conduct stakeholder interviews, map out the entire process flow, and propose an improved process flow that significantly reduces unnecessary steps through proper integrations with the DAM software.

Design solution
Integrated the DAM solution seamlessly into the user flow.
Created workarounds where seamless integration was not possible due to vendor software limitations.
Proposed new designs that gave access to the tools to users who previously did not have access. This significantly reduced the need for offline collaboration.
