Batch Receipt Capture
The Challenge
QuickBooks expense management required manual, one-at-a-time photo capture and uploading for each receipt. For users with high receipt volumes -- freelancers, small business owners, and accountants -- this was a significant time burden.
The Approach
Designed a batch capture feature enabling users to upload and process multiple receipts at once. The solution streamlined capture, categorization, and storage of multiple receipts in a single flow, reducing the manual effort of entering data from individual receipts. A detailed user flow diagram was developed in Figma to align engineering on the interaction model.
Key Outcomes
A batch receipt capture workflow that dramatically reduced the time required for expense management, making QuickBooks more practical for users with high-volume receipt needs.
